The design consists of the red cross of St. George, with four green maple leaves and stems coming from the cross on a white background, on a silver plating. The pin is stamped with the design, then filled with durable, synthetic hard enamel (Epola), and has a silver metal finish. Each pin comes in a clear, plant-based bag (which is compostable).
The badge of the Anglican Church of Canada was approved by the Canadian Heraldic Authority for common use and then granted and presented to the Primate, the Most Rev. Michael Peers, by the Governor General of Canada at the 34th Session of the General Synod of the Anglican Church of Canada in Ottawa, Ontario on June 1, 1995.
